17 unbound, numbered and titled original wood-engravings from blocks by Bewick plus blue printed pamphlet with a short introduction and comments on the woodblocks, one of several copies issued in folded sheets (one bird per page) from an edition of 100, pamphlet signed by David Esslemont, housed in dark blue folded wrapper and contained in blue cloth slipcase.
The blocks were printed by hand on a Columbian Press. Very good.
