Of an edition of 350 copies, 100 are for private circulation to the Wynkyn de Worde Society and 250 copies are for sale, this copy no.93, ochre printed paper wrappers, (18.5x12cm), 20pp, near fine.


De Strata was a member of the Benedictine community of S.Cipriano in Murano in the 15th.Century.As a disgruntled scribe he wrote this poem complaining of the growing proliferation of printed books, particularly in Venice. The poem is printed here in Latin and English.
