52 issues, January – December, 1908, including a double issue for Christmas, (390x280mm), housed in a bespoke cloth box with gold tooled leather lettering label, all backfolds except #1 are intact, only one small piece missing from a tear on back page of #1, o/w vg considering its fragility. Every issue has long stories with titles such as 'The Foundling of St. Basils'; The Boy Ventriloquist' & 'Tomahawk and Rifle'. Authors include Herbert Maxwell, Henry St. John & John Tregellis. The 'Editor's Den' has advice on a variety of subjects – 'How to Become a Ships Engineer'; 'How to re-enamel a bicycle'&'Blacking Brown Boots' The Editor also briefly answers questions sent in by young readers. Adverts towards the rear of each 16 page issue describe cures for Blushing and How to grow a Moustache.
